Fluor had revenue of $16.3 billion in 2024 and is ranked 265 among the Fortune 500 companies. With headquarters in Irving, Texas, Fluor has provided EPC services for more than a century.
Fluor aimed to strengthen global employee awareness of the importance of teamwork—one of their core company values. Their goal was to emphasize how effective communication and cultural awareness contribute to success in project execution and delivery.
We partnered with Fluor to enhance employee teamwork and cultural awareness through targeted learning initiatives. During Fluor University Week, we helped develop webinars that highlighted the role of collaboration in project success.
We also began supporting the Fluor University Ambassador program by incorporating content on leadership, cultural intelligence, and communication skills into the six-month development experience. As part of this ongoing collaboration, Ambassadors create their GlobeSmart® Profiles to learn more about their work styles and gain strategies for effective collaboration with their global colleagues.
Additionally, Fluor continues to integrate Aperian learning modules into their learning management system (LMS), inclusive learning programs, and employee onboarding—ensuring that cultural awareness and effective teamwork remain central to employees’ professional growth.
Our partnership has been instrumental in transforming Fluor’s workforce into a more inclusive, culturally agile team that thrives in a global environment. By embedding cultural awareness and collaboration strategies into their learning initiatives, Fluor employees now actively embrace diverse perspectives and recognize the value of different work styles. Teams communicate more effectively, leading to stronger project execution and seamless cross-border collaboration. Employees feel empowered to navigate global work environments with confidence, using the GlobeSmart Profile and Guides as essential tools for understanding cultural nuances, building relationships, and preparing for travel or relocation.
