Christie Caldwell

Christie Caldwell has been with Aperian since 2007, designing and delivering global talent development solutions for major clients in the region. Leveraging her business experience in the U.S. as well as the EMEA and Asia-Pacific regions, Ms. Caldwell drives thought leadership and innovative approaches to support client needs in the areas of global leadership development, team effectiveness, and diversity and inclusion. In addition to the APAC region, Ms. Caldwell has worked throughout Europe and the Middle East to design and deliver solutions for Aperian’s EMEA-based clients, including oil and gas corporations operating in the Middle East.

Prior to joining Aperian, Ms. Caldwell worked as a consultant on international issues for academic, governmental, research, and business organizations. Her work primarily focused on China and Taiwan, where she had been based for approximately seven years.

Originally from the United States, Ms. Caldwell has spent over 15 years as an expatriate in Asia and Europe. She is currently based in Bangalore and speaks Mandarin Chinese in addition to her native English.

Ms. Caldwell holds an MA from Harvard University and completed an MA in Chinese studies through Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies in Nanjing, China. She has co-authored the book Leading Across New Borders with Aperian founder Ernie Gundling. Some of her publications, such as Developing Local and Global Leadership — At Once — In China and Tomorrow’s Global Leader, have been published in international academic and business journals.
