Hamidah Marican

Dr. Hamidah Marican is a Senior Consultant with Aperian. She has close to two decades of experience working with companies like British Petroleum, Intel, and Shell. She champions and provides coaching and advice to Human Resource Managers on the development of underrepresented groups and talent pools which include women in the workplace. 

Dr. Marican is a thinking partner, organizational strategist, and dialogue host with leaders in business, government, and civil society encouraging an authentic inclusive leadership style. She has experience working in countries such as Australia, China, India, Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, UAE, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Vietnam. In addition to her corporate experience, she also has an extensive teaching background.

Dr. Marican is the core facilitator for the Living Values Educational Program endorsed by UNESCO. She presented a paper on “State of Human Rights Defenders in Malaysia” and was part of the speaker group that visited the White House and met with former US President Obama. Dr. Marican comes from a cross-cultural background and was born and raised in Malaysia. She is fluent in Bahasa Malaysia, English, Punjabi, and Urdu and is currently based in Selangor, Malaysia.

Dr. Marican has a Bachelor of Educational degree in Educational Psychology.
