Helen Bannigan is a Senior Consultant at Aperian with three decades of expertise in cultural competency, global leadership and global communication skills. Some of her clients include AIG, Bosch, Coca Cola, Goldman Sachs, Johnson & Johnson, Nike, Philips, and Starbucks.
Prior to joining Aperian, Ms. Bannigan was the CEO and owner of a global communications firm. During this time she provided high-level cultural training to executives, implementing proven tools to help them be more efficient and effective in assimilating to their new environment, both personally and professionally. She counsels clients on effective communications strategies in local markets around the world. Ms. Bannigan also served at the Commercial Services section of the American Embassy of Portugal, assisting American companies to enter into the European marketplace.
Ms. Bannigan is fluent in English, French, Italian and Portuguese and currently resides in London. She is a volunteer translator for NGO Translators without Borders, which contributes to closing language gaps that hinder humanitarian efforts. She also uses her language skills to help local immigrant communities assimilate to their new homes.
Ms. Bannigan holds Master’s degrees from 3 universities in Paris: one in International Relations from L’Institut d’Etudes Politiques, an MA in International Relations and French Foreign Policy from the Institut des Hautes Etudes Internationales; an MA in Global Politics & Diplomacy from the Sorbonne; and she holds a BA in International Relations & French, from The Catholic University of America, Washington DC.
