Karen Cvitkovich (she/her/hers)

Karen Cvitkovich has worked in the field of intercultural consulting, coaching, and team building for almost twenty years. She primarily facilitates sessions on globalization, negotiation, conflict resolution, multinational team building, global leadership, and virtual communications. This work has involved a broad range of clients in the biotech, retail, technology, and financial services industries, as well as governmental organizations, in close to forty countries throughout the world.

Prior to her work with Aperian, Ms. Cvitkovich partnered with the training departments of several large corporations, including NYNEX and Blue Cross Blue Shield, under the auspices of the United Way of Massachusetts Bay. She also worked with EF Education, a Swedish-based company providing language and culture immersion courses for individuals coming to the United States.

Ms. Cvitkovich is currently based in Boston, MA, where she lives with her family.

She holds an MS in training and organizational development and a BA in business and human resources. Ms. Cvitkovich has experience with a number of psychometric instruments; she is certified on the MBTI and the Hay Group leadership and climate surveys. She is a frequent speaker at conferences, including those held by the Society for Human Resources Management, the Association for Talent Development, and the Summer Institute for Intercultural Communication. She is the co-author of two books, What is Different about Global Leadership and Leading Across New Borders.
