Kimi Komisarof (she/her/hers)
Kimi Komisarof is a Senior Consultant with Aperian. She has successfully designed and conducted programs in key focus areas such as intercultural and assertive communication, coaching skills, diversity, team building, conflict resolution and leadership for many large multinational corporations, educational institutes, and government organizations.
Ms. Komisarof has worked closely with major clients such as Chloe, Gap and Novartis.
While in the U.S, she managed a branch office for an international education firm and was responsible for HR and cross-cultural training. Outside of her consulting work, Ms. Komisarof is a lecturer at Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, teaching intercultural communication. She has served as a guest lecturer at the Institut Superieur d’Agriculture’s (ISA)
Winter Institute for Intercultural Communication in Lille, France.
In her spare time, Ms. Komisarof presents on cross-cultural topics at international conferences. She served as Membership Director at the Society for SIETAR Japan. She is fluent in English and Japanese and currently resides in Tokyo, with her family.
Ms. Komisarof holds an MA in intercultural relations from Lesley College in Massachusetts, USA and a BA in English Literature from Doshisha University in Kyoto, Japan. She is a certified coach by Shougai Gakushu Kaihatsu Zaidan as well as Coach 21 and Coach Training Program (CTP), both which are accredited by the ICF. Ms. Komisarof co-authored the book, “Intercultural Communication Workbook” published in 2001.
