Lauren Martin
Lauren Martin is a Senior Consultant with Aperian. She is a transformational leader who is passionate about empowering, inspiring, and developing others while also advocating for equitable and inclusive environments. As a consultant and trusted advisor, she inspires leaders to build an inclusive culture and teams to form a strong commitment for belonging based upon mutual understanding and joint commitment. As a master facilitator, coach, advisor, former educator, and consultant, she has extensive experience conducting and delivering solutions and programs in multiple countries across small and large organizations in the private, public, and non-profit sectors.
Prior to working with Aperian, Ms. Martin worked with Lowe’s as the first Canadian Manager, Diversity and Inclusion, as well as the Senior Learning Designer for Leadership Development for all business units. She was also the Region 2 learning business partner for Starbucks Canada where she assessed, localized, and implemented global learning and development solutions that built organizational and partner capability while supporting key talent development initiatives for the multicultural executive and management teams. Prior to that, the partial list of organizations she has been a part of in various capacities include Indigo Books and Music L&D and OD, Ontario Soccer Association, Kumon Math & Reading Centre franchises, Robert Half International, and the Mad Science Group franchises.
Ms. Martin is currently a DEI consultant and has worked and traveled extensively in the United States, Canada, and Europe. She is currently based in Montreal, Québec.
Ms. Martin received a BS from the University of California at San Diego in Physiology and Neuroscience. Outside of her corporate career, Ms. Martin can be found volunteering as a youth sports coach, sharing her passion for cooking and gardening, and mentoring.
