Muna Alyusuf
Muna Alyusuf is a Senior Consultant at Aperian with more than a decade of experience facilitating workshops and programs globally. She has extensive cross-cultural experience as an expatriate, having lived and worked in Dhahran, Al Khobar and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia as well as in the United States, the United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom. She continues to work with international business assignees to develop cross-cultural management skills to live and work more effectively across cultures.
Ms. Alyusuf boasts over a decade of experience as a Training Manager at a global cross-cultural consulting firm, where she developed, trained, and evaluated consultants across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Her role also involved collaborating on product and business management, focusing on cross-cultural training products. Additionally, she served as an assistant professor at California State University in Sacramento, teaching courses on Middle Eastern Societies and Cultures. With a background in social work and counseling, She also led Intercultural Orientation programs in Dubai, helping staff and faculty at Dubai Women’s College understand and work effectively with Arab and Muslim cultures.
Originally from Saudi Arabia, Ms. Alyusuf is fluent in both Arabic and English and is currently based in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.
Ms. Alyusuf completed her MBA from the University of Northern London and a Master of Arts degree in Sociology from California State University, Sacramento. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from King Saud University. She is a qualified Organizational Relationship System Coach and Co-Active Coach. She is also a Myers-Briggs certified practitioner. She is an active member of the Society of Intercultural Education, Training and Research SIETAR – UK, and a member of the Council for Arab-British Understanding – UK. She has also been involved with the Middle East Studies Association, the Association of Middle East Women Studies – USA, the World Affairs Council, and Sociologists for Women in Society.
