Sandra Ruiz (she/her)

Sandra Ruiz is a Senior Consultant at Aperian with over two decades years of experience as a coach, facilitator, and human resource leader. Ms. Ruiz’s expertise lies in coaching leaders on self-awareness, competencies, and presence that build their leadership capabilities. She is passionate about people’s ability to start over in new or familiar territory and dedicates her practice to generating inclusive leadership from the inside out.

Before working with Aperian, Ms. Ruiz’s accomplishments range from pioneering retention and advancement initiatives of multicultural managers at P&G to supporting Wal Mart Inc. executives in starting up their in-store Hispanic marketing capability. Most recently, she supported team effectiveness for the worldwide studios of a leading industrial and innovation design firm. Skilled in implementing the integration of talent, leadership, and culture in the Merger & Acquisition environment she has also optimized deal value in Fortune 50 companies as well as supporting a start-up in establishing HR capability.

Originally from New York-area, Ms. Ruiz is currently based out of Barcelona where she thrives on integrating a Mediterranean life with her New York upbringing. Bilingual in English and Spanish, she enjoys drawing on her multicultural heritage and international living experience to support global professionals in navigating their transitions both organizationally and individually. Ms. Ruiz is the president of the Asociación Española de Profesionales del Coaching Ontológico (AEPCO) and co-founder of the Spain chapter of Society for Intercultural Training Education Research (SIETAR). She is an Adjunct Faculty in Leadership & Team Skills at the LA Salle University, Business Engineering Shool (Barcelona).

Ms. Ruiz holds an MA in Intercultural Education and Immigration from the Universitat de Barcelona and a BA in Communication and Spanish from Rutgers University (USA). She is a certified Coach from The Newfield Network and a Global DEI Practitioner.
