Silke Irmscher (she/her/hers)

Silke Irmscher is a Senior Consultant at Aperian with over 15 years of experience facilitating programs for individuals and organizations to succeed and thrive in multicultural societies. Ms. Irmscher’s mission is to help expatriates create a well adjusted life abroad. Through her training and coaching, she delivers and designs creative, high-quality learning experiences in the field of cultural change, Diversity and Inclusion.

Prior to working with Aperian, Ms. Irmscher has worked as an intercultural trainer providing team building and coaching services for local and international business companies to facilitate deeper understanding between cultures. Prior to this she has established a multi-stakeholder forum of local NGO’s, aimed to enable local people to claim their human rights in the aftermath of civil war and tsunami for the emergency relief project in Banda Aceh, Indonesia. She has also managed various projects including intercultural art exhibitions, performances and cultural events sponsored by the German cultural institution in the city of Jogjakarta.

Originally from Germany, Ms. Irmscher lives in Jakarta with her Javanese husband and her two daughters. She is fluent in German, English and Indonesian.

Ms. Irmscher holds an MA in Communication Psychology, a BA in Business Management and has completed a University based course in Intercultural Business Communication. Ms. Irmscher is a Global DISC™ Licensed Practitioner and is also a Brain Gym® Certified Coach.
